1940s Glamorous Daywear

Hello all! My name is Angie, and I blog at Quality Time. I see lots of familiar faces here. :)

My planned pattern for the sewalong is actually 2 patterns, for a complete outfit. (Of course I've already changed my mind 3 times this weekend, sooo...)

First, a very Katherine Hepburn trouser pattern:


And then, this lovely 40's blouse. I think I'll be making either the green view or the striped view. I love them all!


I haven't picked fabric yet...I think I'll actually order some wool gabardine (overcoming wool fear is one of my New Year's goals!) and I have plenty of batistes and blouse-weight fabrics to choose from for the top.

I'm excited to get started!

  3. Wool is nothing to fear, it's a lovely fibre to work with. Wears tough, doesn't have to be washed constantly. I adore my K.Heps, they're as comfy as sweatpants but stylish.
